Welcome to UniversityNotes. These Terms of Service ("Terms," "Agreement," or "ToS") constitute a binding legal agreement between you and UniversityNotes ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") regarding your access to and use of our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using UniversityNotes, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of our Services immediately.

1. Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use UniversityNotes solely for educational and personal reference purposes. You agree not to:

• Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or sell any content without explicit written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
• Transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to download content
• Modify, translate, or create derivative works from our content
• Use the Services for commercial purposes without authorization

2. User Accounts

If you create an account on UniversityNotes, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Providing accurate and complete information during registration
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• All activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

2A. Download Credits & Monthly Free Downloads

UniversityNotes provides users with download credits to access educational materials. By using our Services, you agree to the following terms regarding download credits:

• New users receive 8 free download credits upon successful account creation as a one-time signup bonus
• Every active account receives 2 free download credits automatically on the 14th of every month
• Additional credits can be earned by sharing notes or question papers through our upload form (2 credits per file)
• Monthly credits are valid for 1 month from the date of issue
• Unused monthly credits expire automatically after 1 month — no compensation or extension will be provided for expired credits
• Credits earned through signup bonus or file sharing rewards are permanent and not subject to monthly expiry
• Download credits are non-transferable and have no monetary value
• Accounts with DeActive status are not eligible to receive monthly download credits
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the download credit system at any time without prior notice
• Any attempt to manipulate or exploit the download credit system will result in immediate account suspension

3. User-Submitted Content

By submitting question papers, notes, or any other educational materials to UniversityNotes, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the legal right to submit the content
• The content is original or properly attributed
• The content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
• The content does not violate any laws or regulations
• You grant UniversityNotes a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute the content for educational purposes

We reserve the right to reject, remove, or modify any submitted content without notice.

UniversityNotes does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or correctness of any user-submitted content including notes, question papers, and solved papers. All materials are shared for reference purposes only. Students are advised to verify information independently and cross-check with official university resources before relying on any content.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on UniversityNotes, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of UniversityNotes or its content providers and is protected by international copyright laws. You may not use any content from our Services without obtaining prior written permission from the copyright holder.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content
• The availability or uninterrupted operation of the Services
• The absence of viruses or harmful components
• The fitness of content for any particular purpose

You use the Services at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UniversityNotes, its owners, employees, and partners shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, revenue, or profits
• Damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Services
• Any errors or omissions in content

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UniversityNotes, its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the Services
• Content you submit to UniversityNotes
• Your infringement of any third-party rights

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

• Harassment, abuse, or offensive behavior toward other users
• Posting spam, advertisements, or promotional content
• Attempting to disrupt or interfere with the Services
• Engaging in any illegal activity
• Uploading content that is defamatory, obscene, or harmful
• Attempting to impersonate another person or entity

9. Third-Party Links and Content

UniversityNotes may contain links to external websites and resources. We are not responsible for:

• The content, accuracy, or practices of external sites
• Any harm or loss resulting from accessing external links

10. Copyright Infringement

We may terminate or suspend your access to UniversityNotes immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in any prohibited activity. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

14. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with UniversityNotes through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Indian law.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and UniversityNotes regarding your use of the Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
